Jane Woodhouse
Jane has spent the last 36 years working as a production weaver. In 1991 she earned an MFA from San Francisco State University with a concentration in textiles.
She currently lives in Peacham, Vermont on Brigid's Farm which is home to a small flock of Border Leicester X sheep, natural colored angora goats and dairy goats. Her mail order business and on-farm studio specialize in natural dyes. She teaches regularly in her studio but travels several times a year to teach at festivals, for guilds and other venues.
Jane's other interests include spinning and knitting, ethnic textiles, and surface design techniques on hand woven fabrics. Her recent article Making Stock Solutions from Natural Dyes appeared in the Spring 2014 Color issue of Spin-Off Magazine.
